The French Ministry of Education certifies the French language proficiency of non-native French speakers through two internationally recognised diplomas:

  • DELF – Diplôme d’études en langue française: The DELF assesses French language skills from Level A1 to Level B2, corresponding to beginner to independent users.
  • DALF – Diplôme approfondi de langue française: The DALF certifies advanced proficiency at Level C1 and Level C2, intended for autonomous and proficient users.

  • Age group:11 to 17 years
  • The French Ministry of Education certifies the French language proficiency of non-native French speakers enrolled in secondary and higher secondary education through the DELF Junior diploma.
  • The DELF Junior assesses French language skills from Level A1 to Level B2, corresponding to beginner to independent users, the examination is specifically adapted to young learners.

  • The DELF Prim is designed specifically for young learners and assesses French language skills at three levels: A1.1, A1, and A2, corresponding to elementary and beginner users.
